On the Up Side
Aug. 27th, 2013 10:42 amThis blog has been a little powder keg of negativity of late: anxiety and fears and bad life news.
Good news everyone! That will be today’s focus! I’ve applied for several jobs. Go me, I’m mobilizing against my employment lethargy. The ergonomic desk chair I special ordered, like, a month ago, showed up last week. It is as magnificently green as is it MY SIZE. No more desk chairs designed for 250 lb., 6 ft. men. Zoya had a buy-one-get-one-free sale for nail polish and I can’t wait until I have beautiful, beautiful nail decoration. I have the perfect wine, pinks, coppery-red and orange and have longed for the right purple, blue and gold. *Winks* I may have found them.
Went out with my table top friends to see the Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright. It was as hilarious and touching (and a total nonsense ending) and love these two. They have my love, now and forever.
Story progress is slow, as you may imagine given the level of real world issues I’m juggling. BUT. I have been doing plot and scene notes (juicy). My characters are fleshing out in both stories, with emphasis on the new (isn’t that the way of things?). The new offers more by means of world building, but that is a dangerous pit I don’t want to go down any further than it provides me with appropriate story conflict.
GOD, I HAVE WORK TODAY AND SO MUCH LEFT TO DO, GAAAAH, no more journaling.
I leave you all now, lots of love.
